Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 22/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front with an associated low over the southern Tasman Sea is clearing far northeastern New South Wales and a strong high pressure system near the Bight is moving east extending a ridge behind it. The high will move over the Tasman Sea on Tuesday and then it will continue to move east maintaining a ridge to the north. The next cold front is expected to move through the state during Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of SundaySlight chance of a shower about the coastal fringe and adjacent ranges and on the western Alps. Fine and mostly sunny elsewhere. Early frost patches on the ranges. South to southeasterly winds.Monday 24 OctoberFine and mostly sunny apart from the slight chance of a shower in the far southeast. Early frost patches on the ranges. Southeast to southwest winds, tending northeasterly in the northeast later.Tuesday 25 OctoberFine and partly cloudy in most parts, mostly sunny in the northwest. Light winds tending northeast to northwesterly.Wednesday 26 OctoberSlight chance of showers in the southern half. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. North to northwesterly winds turning turning south to southwesterly in the south.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm EDT Sunday.Product IDN10031
