Strong Start to French Export Campaign
PARIS - Oct 10/16 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France maintained their strong pace through August, helped by heavy sales commitments to India, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during August totalled 73,280 metric tons (MT), up 52% from the 43,360 MT shipped the previous month, and almost double the 37,285 MT shipped the same month last year.
The jump in year over year shipments reflects strong movement to India, which has taken 100,737 MT of peas during the first two months of France's 2016-17 marketing campaign.
