Dry Edible Beans Strengthen

PANAMA - Oct 7/16 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firm tone through the past week, despite improved availability of new crop product in the United States and elsewhere.

This was reflected in the U.S. spot index for beans, which jumped 3.1 points on the week to finish at 144.7.

Similarly, the world pulse price index gained 1.0 points to finish at 176.2. At the same time, the Canadian index inched up 0.6 points to finish at 176.2.
