Mustard Movement Remains Slow

PANAMA - Sep 25/16 - SNS -- Bulk export movement of mustard seed maintained its slow pace through the third week of September, reflecting limited deliveries of new crop product.

This year's harvest is now over 51% complete, suggesting around 120,000 metric tons (MT) of new crop was available, compared to 89,000 MT at the same time last year.

The CGC reports 700 MT of bulk mustard seed export clearances through reporting terminals and primary elevators between September 12 and 18. That lifted season to date exports to 2,000 MT, compared to 1,700 MT exported during the previous marketing year.
