MELBOURNE - Aug 27/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough lies across the central New South Wales coast while a high pressure system centred over the far west extends a ridge across most of the state. As the high pressure system moves further east over New South Wales on Saturday, the coastal trough will weaken and slip eastwards over the Tasman Sea, allowing the high pressure system to become the dominant weather feature from Sunday into the new week. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayAreas of frost about the tablelands and west. Patchy morning fog. A shower or two along the central and northern coast and adjacent ranges, most likely along the Hunter coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds tending northeast to northwesterly in the west and southeast.Sunday 28 AugustAreas of morning fog. Slight chance of showers along the northern coastal fringe. Partly cloudy otherwise. Generally light winds tending moderate north to northeast in the far west later.Monday 29 AugustSlight chance of showers in the far west late in the day. Mostly sunny otherwise. Northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh in the far west.Tuesday 30 AugustRain extending through the west and southern inland. Partly cloudy otherwise.
