Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 27/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over western NSW will continue to move eastwards to be over eastern NSW by Sunday. A deep low is expected to form to the southwest of the Bight during Sunday and weaken as it moves southeastwards across waters to the south of the State early next week.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayEarly morning frost. A fine day. Cool to mild in the south and east grading to warm in the west. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, freshening in the west.Sunday 28 AugustFine throughout, ahead of a band of rain developing in the far west late morning, extending eastwards, reaching the Mid North and Mount Lofty ranges districts towards midnight. Warm throughout with freshening northerly winds, reaching strong and gusty at times over western districts. Winds turning west to northwesterly and easing in the far west in the late afternoon or evening.Monday 29 AugustAreas of rain except in the far northeast, contracting eastwards and clearing from western districts, although the slight chance of showers persisting near the coasts. Mild grading to warm in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, tending northwest to westerly in the west.Tuesday 30 August
Rain contracting eastwards and clearing the eastern border during the afternoon and evening, although a medium chance of showers persisting over the North East Pastoral and agricultural area. Possible thunderstorms over the agricultural area and Flinders district, mainly in the afternoon. Generally mild with mainly moderate northwesterly winds tending west to northwesterly over the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be mostly in the range of 5 to 15 mm.
Wednesday until FridayA slight to medium chance of showers over the agricultural area, with the slight chance of rain developing in the far northwest later Wednesday. A high chance of rain developing over the Pastoral and Flinders districts on Thursday, with a slight chance of showers over the remainder. Rain and showers easing and contracting to the south and east on Friday. Temperatures remaining generally mild.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
