VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian Laird Lentil markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices rocketing 33% above the recent three year average annual price on inter-dealer markets in that country.
The average trading level for Laird Lentil was USD$55.57 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual market value of $41.84 during the previous three year period for machine dressed merchandise packed in bags delivered to Montreal.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was $67.75 per cwt in April, while the lowest monthly average trading level was $42.80 per cwt in August.
