Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 7% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$338.67 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $362.56 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $362.84 per MT in April, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $307.73 per MT in October.
