Small Yellow Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian Small Yellow Pea markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 33% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Small Yellow Pea was CDN$411.95 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $309.85 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $505.22 per MT in February, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $303.13 per MT in October.
