Extra 3 Red Lentil Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/16 - STAT -- Canadian Extra 3 Red Lentil markets finished the 2015-16 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 39% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Extra 3 Red Lentil was CDN$41.00 per 100 pounds (cwt), compared to an average annual bid of $29.40 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $50.00 per cwt in December, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $32.50 per cwt in September.
