Weather Situation A cold front over the south of Western Australia will move across western and southern coasts of South Australia later today, followed by a more significant front moving across the State on Monday. A new high pressure system moves into the Bight on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayCool to cold early with patchy light frost about and east of the Flinders Ranges and the Riverland. The chance of morning fog about the Lower South East. A slight to medium chance of showers extending across western coasts in the morning, then extending across the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts and increasing to a high chance of showers in the West Coast district, before clearing during the evening about south central coasts. A mild day, grading to warm in the west with freshening north to northwesterly winds, shifting cooler west to southwesterly in the west and becoming light and variable later.Sunday 31 JulyAreas of morning fog about West Coast district, the south of the Northwest Pastoral and across the agricultural area. The slight to medium chance of rain extending across areas southwest of Pukatja to Marree, increasing to a high to very high chance over the parts of the West Coast, Eyre Peninsula, Mid North and Flinders districts during the day. Rain tending to showers during the afternoon and evening over the agricultural area with possible thunderstorms about Kangaroo Island. Mild grading to warm in the northwest. Light winds tending moderate northwest to northeasterly during the day and shifting westerly in the west.Monday 1 AugustA slight to medium chance of rain over parts of the Pastoral districts northeast of about Coober Pedy, increasing to high to very high chance about the south of the North East Pastoral and Flinders districts. Areas of rain contracting northeast and clearing in the evening. A slight to medium chance of showers with possible small hail about the west coast, agricultural area and southern pastorals, increasing to a high to very high chance about the southern agricultural area. Possible thunderstorms about the southern agricultural area and west coast. Local heavy falls about the Mount Lofty Ranges. Possible snow about the higher peaks of the Mid North and Flinders districts late evening. Warm in the northeast grading to cool to mild elsewhere with moderate to fresh north to northwesterly winds, ahead of a cold, fresh southwesterly change extending throughout.Tuesday 2 August A slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area and remaining coasts, increasing to a medium chance about southern coasts. Cool to cold with the chance of early morning frost for areas about and west of the Flinders Ranges. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be less than 2 mm in the north of the pastoral districts increasing to 2 to 10 mm in the south of the pastoral districts. 5 to 15 mm expected over the agricultural area, increasing to 10 to 20 mm about the southern agricultural area and Flinders Ranges, reaching to 20 to 40 mm about the Mount Lofty Ranges and the Lower South East coast. Wednesday until FridayA slight to medium chance of showers about the agricultural and remaining coasts, contracting to southern coasts by Friday. Showers also developing in the far west on Friday.
