Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jul 22/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front is moving eastwards across Victoria. A series of further fronts will move across South Australia on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayPossible early frost and a possible late shower over the far northwest. The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and west coast, increasing to a medium chance about the southern agricultural area. Possible small hail about Kangaroo Island and the South East districts, mainly in the morning. Cool to cold throughout, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, strong about southern coasts early morning, then easing during the day and turning northwest in the evening.Sunday 24 JulyPossible early frost over the far northwest. A slight to medium chance of showers over the agricultural area and the south of the pastoral districts increasing to a high to very high chance over the southern agricultural area. Possible thunderstorms and small hail about southern coasts and ranges with local heavy falls about the Mount Lofty Ranges. Cool with freshening northwesterly winds, shifting colder fresh to strong west to southwesterly during the day.Monday 25 JulyPossible early frost over the far northwest. A slight to medium chance of showers over the agricultural area, west coast and the south of the pastoral districts increasing to a high to very high chance over the southern agricultural area. Possible thunderstorms and small hail about the Lower South East coast. Cool with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting colder fresh to strong west to southwesterly.Tuesday 26 July
A slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, west coast and the south of the pastoral districts, increasing to a medium chance about the Mount Lofty Ranges, Kangaroo Island and the South East districts. Cold to cool with moderate northwest to southwesterly winds, fresh about southern coasts during the morning.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 40 to 60 mm over the Mount Lofty Ranges, 20 to 40 mm about southern coasts and 10 to 20 mm over the remainder of the southern agricultural area. 2 to 10 mm over the northern agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the south of the pastoral districts.
Wednesday until FridayShowers over the agricultural area and west coast on Wednesday, contracting to the southern agricultural area on Thursday. Cool with moderate westerly winds, becoming light in the on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
