Birdseeds Influenced by Easing Field Crops
PANAMA - Jul 16/16 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets maintained their weaker tone in sympathy with grains and oilseeds and initial harvest activity.
Canada's harvest is rapidly approaching, with the vast majority of crops rated at a normal or above normal stage of development for the middle of July. There are also reports some of the earliest planted fields are ready to harvest.
To the extent farmers are able to enter fields, this changes short term supply fundamentals, contributing to easier values.
