Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 28/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over southeastern Australia is slowly moving east and will lie over northeast New South Wales later today. The high will begin to weaken as a cold front crosses the state during Thursday and Friday. A new high pressure system will follow in the wake of the change and become the dominant feature over the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdaySlight chance of showers over the far southern ranges and adjacent slopes, falling as snow above 1400 metres. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Areas of frost and fog patches this morning over the ranges and slopes. South to southwesterly winds near the coast. Light winds inland tending northerly in the west.Thursday 30 JuneShowers about the southern half of the inland, tending more widespread and frequent over the southern ranges and adjacent slopes. Snow showers above 1200 metres over the Alps. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Areas of morning frost about the ranges and slopes. West to northwesterly winds.Friday 1 JulyShowers over the southern half of the ranges and adjacent slopes with snow showers above 1000 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere. West to southwesterly winds.Saturday 2 JulyA shower or two over the southern half of the ranges and adjacent slopes with snow above 1700 metres. Partly cloudy elsewhere.
