Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Jun 28/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A 1027 hPa high is centred over New South Wales. A cold front will reach the far west coast on Wednesday evening and extend across the remainder of the State on Thursday. Another high will move into the Pastoral districts of South Australia on Friday and Saturday.
Forecast for the rest of TuesdayA medium chance of showers about the Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Cool evening with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Wednesday 29 JuneEarly frost patches over the Flinders Ranges and adjacent parts to the east. Morning fog patches in the Northeast Pastoral. A slight chance of showers southwest of Ceduna to Keith, increasing to a medium chance about Kangaroo Island and far south of Eyre Peninsula. Cool, grading to mild in the west with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds.Thursday 30 JunePossible isolated thunderstorms about Kangaroo Island early during the morning. Showers increasing over the agricultural area and reaching the south of the Pastoral districts. Possible small hail about the Lower South East. Cool to cold with moderate to fresh northwesterly winds, shifting strong southwesterly about southern coasts.Friday 1 JulyMorning fog patches in the far west. A slight chance of showers about the west coast and the southern agricultural area, increasing to medium chance about the Lower South East coast. Cool to cold with moderate west to southwesterly winds, fresh about southern coasts, tending light to moderate southerly in the north.Saturday 2 July
A slight chance of showers southwest of Ceduna to Port Pirie to Lameroo, increasing to a medium chance about the Mount Lofty Ranges, and the far southern coasts. Cool with light to moderate west to northwesterly winds in the south, tending light variable in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Saturday are expected to be 15 to 30 mm over the Mount Lofty Ranges, west coast of Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast. 5 to 15 mm about the remainder of the southern agricultural area, 2 to 5 mm in the northern agricultural area and less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Sunday until TuesdayA slight chance of showers extending to the Pastoral districts during Sunday to Tuesday, increasing to medium chance about the agricultural area and the south of the Pastoral districts. High chance of showers about the southern agricultural area on Sunday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Wednesday.Product IDS10033
