MELBOURNE - May 29/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of Victoria was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure system over Victoria will move southwards to be located over Tasmania on Tuesday then move slowly over the Tasman Sea during the remainder of the week. A weak upper level trough will reach western Victoria during Tuesday before moving over southern New South Wales on Wednesday. Another upper level trough will develop over South Australia on Thursday before moving over northwestern Victoria on Friday. Forecast for the rest of MondayMorning frost patches. Isolated showers along the Gippsland coast, mostly during the morning. Isolated showers developing in the far west during the late afternoon and evening. Cool and partly cloudy with generally light winds, tending north to northeasterly in western districts.Tuesday 31 MayMorning frost patches inland. Isolated showers in the west. Dry and partly cloudy for the remainder apart from isolated morning coastal showers in Gippsland. Cool with light to moderate east to northeasterly winds.Wednesday 1 JuneDry apart from the chance of isolated showers over northern and far eastern parts. Early frost and fog in the east. A cool day with light to moderate easterly winds.Thursday 2 JuneMorning fog and frost. Dry apart from isolated showers in the far west and far east.
