Tight Spot Stocks Support Lentils
PANAMA - May 14/16 - SNS -- Lentil markets remain firm in relatively light trading interest through the past week.
Limited trading was reported in new crop shipping positions, with many shippers unwilling to add to old crop sales until they see more grower selling.
Perceptions that Canada is effectively sold out of lentils are helped by the fact seeding is underway in that country and growers tend not to think about marketing at this time of year. That is reflected in a clear drop in grower selling to the bulk handling system.
