Agrocorp Buys Veikle Seeds Elevator

TORONTO - May 9/16 - SNS -- Agrocorp International has agreed to buy Veikle Grain Ltd.'s Cut Knife elevator for an undisclosed sum. Veikle Grain will continue to operate as an independent company.

Agrocorp has expansion projects planned for both the rail and storage capacity with the rail expansion slated to finish in the fall adding 80,000 metric tons of capacity to its supply chain.

Agrocorp International is a wholly owned subsidiary of Agrocorp International Pte. Ltd., a multinational agricultural trading company based out of Singapore with 17 global office locations. It is one of the largest pulse trading houses in the world, specialized in exporting, trading, and processing a diverse array of agricultural commodities. Agrocorp handles over 5 million metric tons of product each year and has an annual turnover of $1.9 billion USD.
