Moderate Pace For Mustard Exports

PANAMA - Apr 29/16 - SNS -- The Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) reports 1,300 metric tons (MT) mustard seed was loaded for export through licensed terminal and primary elevators which are required to report to it all grain movement in March.

The CGC data does not include exports in containers or from non-reporting terminals.

The CGC reports exports are down from the 2,500 MT shipped the same month last year and down from the 1,700 MT loaded for export the previous month.

Shipments to date total 12,700 MT, compared to 14,200 during the same period last season.

Of mustard exported so far this season, 10,400 MT was direct from elevators in western Canada and 2,300 MT was via Thunder Bay.
