Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A front south of WA will move across the south of the State on Friday. Another cold front will move across the south of the State overnight on Saturday with an associated trough moving over western districts during Saturday afternoon.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayThe slight chance of showers southwest of about Ernabella to Yunta, increasing to a medium to high chance south of about Tarcoola to Lameroo. Possible thunderstorms about western coasts. Moderate northeast to northwesterly winds.Friday 29 AprilA slight chance of showers over most parts of the State, apart from the far northeast and southwest, increasing to a medium to high chance over the agricultural area and south of the pastoral districts and to very high on and east of the Mt Lofty Ranges. Showers tending to rain about the agricultural area and the south of the North East pastoral district in the morning. Possible morning thunderstorms about western and southern coasts. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, shifting westerly across the west and south.Saturday 30 AprilA slight to medium chance chance of showers over the pastoral districts northeast of Coober Pedy to Port Augusta, apart from the far northeast. A slight to medium chance of showers extending across western coasts, southern Eyre Peninsula and the southern agricultural area during the late afternoon and evening, increasing to a high chance about western Kangaroo Island late evening. Mild, grading to hot in the far northeast. Light to moderate northwest winds, freshening in the south then turning west to southwest in the west during the day.Sunday 1 MayA slight chance of showers about the North East pastoral district. A slight chance of showers over the agricultural area and western coasts, increasing to a medium to high chance over the southern agricultural area. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Moderate southwesterly winds, easing during the day.Monday 2 May
A slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, more likely about southern coasts and ranges. Freshening northwest winds, strong about southern coasts, turning westerly on Tuesday and easing on Wednesday.
Cumulative rainfall totals to midnight Monday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm increasing to 10 to 20 mm about southern coasts and ranges with isolated falls of 20 to 30 mm possible.
Tuesday until ThursdayThe chance of showers over the agricultural area contracting south on Wednesday then developing over western districts during Thursday. Generally mild to warm with light o moderate westerly winds becoming northeast to northwesterly during the period and freshening.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Friday.Product IDS10033
