Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Apr 28/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A cold front south of Western Australia will move across the south of the State on Friday. Another cold front will move across the far west Saturday afternoon and the agricultural area during Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayEarly fog patches over Eyre Peninsula and the South East districts. The slight chance of showers southwest of about Ernabella to Yunta, increasing to a medium chance south of about Tarcoola to Lameroo. Possible thunderstorms about western coasts. Mild in the south and west, grading to hot in the north. Moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, tending light and variable near the coasts.Friday 29 AprilA slight chance of showers southwest of Giles to Leigh Creek, increasing to a medium chance over the southern agricultural area and a high chance about southern coasts. Possible morning thunderstorms about western and southern coasts. Mild in the south, grading to hot in the northeast. Moderate to fresh north to northwest winds, shifting westerly across the west and south.Saturday 30 AprilA slight chance chance of showers over the pastoral districts, clearing in the evening. A slight to medium chance of showers extending across the west coast and southern agricultural area during the late afternoon and evening, increasing to a high chance about Kangaroo Island late evening. Mild, grading to hot in the far northeast. Light to moderate northwest winds, fresh in the south, turning west to southwest in the west.Sunday 1 May
A slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area, ranges and west coast, more likely about southern coasts and ranges. Cool to mild in the south, warm in the north. Moderate westerly winds, tending light to moderate southerly in the north.
Cumulative rainfall totals to midnight Sunday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm southwest of a line Tarcoola to Lameroo, reaching 10 to 15 mm about the southern agricultural area and 15 to 25 mm about southern coasts and ranges. Less than 2 mm elsewhere.
Monday until WednesdayA slight chance of showers about far southern coasts Monday, extending across the agricultural area and west coast on Tuesday and increasing in the south. Freshening northwest winds, strong about southern coasts, turning westerly on Tuesday and easing on Wednesday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Thursday.Product IDS10033
