Durum Plamntings Seen Up in U.S.

WASHINGTON - Mar 31/16 - SNS -- Area seeded to Durum wheat for 2016 is estimated at 2.00 million acres, up 3% from 2015, according to the USDA's seeding intentions report for 2016.

Planted acreage is expected to increase in Montana and North Dakota, the two largest Durum-producing States. If realized, planted acres will tie a record low in South Dakota.
