Firmer Undertone in Dry Beans
PANAMA - Mar 12/16 - SNS -- Dry edible beans finished the week on a firmer tone in world markets, reflecting a reduction in the number of eager sellers.
North American prices had a firmer undertone on the week, with the index for U.S. beans inching 0.3 points upward to finished the week at 142.7.
By contrast, the world pulse price index inched upward 0.7 points to finish at 223.0; while the Canadian index gained 1.3 points to close at 223.9.
