Dry Beans Find Underlying Firmness

PANAMA - Feb 27/16 - SNS -- Dry edible bean markets maintained their firming tone through the past week against expectations world export trading volumes will be higher this calendar year.

Crop production problems in Mexico and parts of Africa have helped solidify demand expectations among exporters.

As a result, the index for U.S. beans jumped 1.2 points to finished the week at 142.3 against strength in classes typically demanded by Mexico.
