Little Change in India Pulse Outlook
DELHI - Feb 15/16 - SNS -- Combined pulse production for India's 2015-16 production season is expected to be up slightly over last year, according to the latest advance estimates from the country's agriculture department.
Total output is expected to reach 17.33 million metric tons (MT), compared to 17.2 million last year and the recent five year average of 18.01 million.
In releasing its estimates, the agriculture department said tur or pigeon pea output ended up at 2.55 million MT, down from 2.78 million last year.
