Chickpea Markets Holding Firm
PANAMA - Feb 12/16 - SNS -- Few changes were seen in chickpea markets during the past week.
Markets remain worried about crop production prospects in Mexico for kabuli chickpeas and in India, for desi chickpeas.
Seeding in India has wrapped up, with markets confident land in desi chickpeas is up over last year, but still far below the country's consumption needs for the coming year.
