Limited Selling Pressure in Peas
PANAMA - Feb 12/16 - SNS -- The world's field pea markets finished the week's trading on a relatively quiet note, but with some selling pressure seem from Canada.
Bulk conventional movement of field peas from Canada has set records so far this marketing year, but total exports are down, suggesting movement in containers is not as brisk as last year.
India has been the most important buyer for most origins so far during the 2015-16 marketing year, with the result any slowing in purchases has an immediate impact on fresh demand.
