MELBOURNE - Feb 11/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high 1020 hPa southeast of the Bight will move eastwards and weaken. A weak cold front will move across the south later on Saturday then a ridge of high pressure will extend into the Bight on Sunday. A cold front is expected to move across the southeast of the State on Monday. A high will move south of the Bight during Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of FridayFine. Mild to warm about southern and western coasts, grading to very hot in the far north. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 13 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of showers developing over Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East. Hot to very hot in the north, mild to warm in the south. Light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds freshening during the afternoon and evening.Sunday 14 FebruarySlight chance of showers about southern and western coastal districts, mainly during the morning. Mild to warm in the south grading to very hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds.Monday 15 February Slight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area and near remaining coasts, more likely about southern coasts. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate to fresh southwest to southeasterly winds. Rainfall totals for the period ending midnight Sunday are expected to be less than 2 mm with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm possible about the Lower South East coast. Tuesday until ThursdaySlight chance of showers about the southern agricultural area and near remaining coasts, contracting to southern and western coasts on Wednesday. Cool to mild about the coasts, grading to warm to hot inland on Tuesday, then becoming cooler inland during the period.
