Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 6/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high over the Tasman sea is weakening. A new high will form south of the Bight on Sunday and Monday, and then move eastwards and weaken ahead of another high developing southwest of the Bight on Wednesday.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdayFine apart from the chance of a shower or thunderstorm in the northeast of the State, clearing by late evening. A mild to warm evening with mainly light south to southeasterly winds.Sunday 7 FebruaryFine apart from the slight chance of a shower in the far northeast of the State during the afternoon. Mild to warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot inland. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coast during the afternoon.Monday 8 FebruaryFine. Mild to warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot to very hot inland. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coast during the afternoon and southern ranges in the evening.Tuesday 9 FebruaryFine. Mild to warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot to very hot inland. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the ranges before sunrise and about the coast during the afternoon.Wednesday 10 February
Fine. Mild to warm about southern and western coasts, grading to hot to very hot inland. Mainly moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh about the coast during the afternoon.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Sunday are expected to be 1 to 5 mm in the northeast of the State associated with thunderstorms, with very isolated falls of 5 to 15 mm. No rainfall is expected over the remainder of the State through to midnight on Wednesday.
Thursday until SaturdayFine apart from the slight chance of showers near southern coasts. Mostly mild about the coasts grading to hot in the far north. Mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Sunday.Product IDS10033
