Chickpea Markets Holding Firm
PANAMA - Feb 5/16 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were little changed in relatively light trading activity.
Crop production prospects in Mexico and worries about whether kabuli chickpeas will see a significant expansion in Canada and the United States continues to help markets.
India appears to have wrapped up planting this year's rabi season pulse crop. That makes it clear that total area is down from last year, but more land could have been sown to chickpeas.
