Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Feb 5/16 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system is centred near Tasmania extending a ridge along the New South Wales coast. A trough extends from Queensland into western parts of the state. This synoptic pattern with a high pressure system to the south of mainland Australia, with a trough through inland New South Wales is forecast to persist into the new week.
Forecast for the rest of Saturday
Slight to medium chance of coastal showers, more likely about the northern coast. Slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the northwest. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds, fresh on the northern coast.
Dangerous Surf Conditions along the coast.
Sunday 7 FebruarySlight to medium chance of showers on the northern half of the coast. Slight chance of showers over the far northwestern inland. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds, turning northeasterly on the south coast later.Monday 8 FebruarySlight to medium chance of showers on the northern half of the coast. Mostly sunny elsewhere. East to southeasterly winds.Tuesday 9 FebruarySlight to medium chance of showers coast and adjacent ranges. Partly cloudy west of Divide.
