USDA National Grain Review

ST. JOSEPH - Feb 5/16 - SNS -- The USDA issued its latest weekly national grain market review, covering the period through Feb 5.

WEEKLY NATIONAL GRAIN MARKET REVIEW
   Compared to last week, grain bids were higher his week despite some bearish
undertones as buying returned this week as the dollar has traded lower much of
the week.  Weather in South America remains good for growing conditions.
Ethanol production has been going down as reserves increase and with large
supplies of corn on hand buying is not very aggressive at this time.  Soybeans
this week found fund some buying support as did wheat. Wheat was mixed, but
mostly 2-9 cents higher.  Yellow Corn traded mostly 1-3 cents higher with
Sorghum selling 5 cents higher.  Soybeans were mostly 6-9 cents higher.
   WHEAT:  Kansas City US No 1 Hard Red Winter, ordinary protein rail bid was
5 cents lower from 5.14 3/4-5.49 3/4 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Soft Red
winter rail bid was not quoted.  St. Louis truck US No 2 Soft Red Winter
terminal bid was 34-37 cents higher from 4.79-4.81 per bushel.  Mnneapolis and
Duluth US No 1 Dark Northern Spring, 14.0 to 14.5 percent protein rail, was 9
1/4-19 1/4 cents higher from 5.99 1/2-6.14 1/2 per bushel.  Portland US Soft
White wheat rail was 1/2-2 cents higher from 5.32-5.37 3/4 per bushel.
   CORN:  Kansas City US No 2 rail White Corn was 3-4 cents higher from 3.93-
3.99 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 truck Yellow Corn was 3 cents higher from
3.68 1/2-3.73 1/2 per bushel.  Omaha US No 2 Yellow Corn was 1-3 cents higher
from 3.57-3.61 per bushel.  Chicago US No 2 Yellow Corn was 2-3 cents higher
from 3.57 1/2-3.83 1/2 per bushel.  Toledo US No 2 rail Yellow corn was 3 cents
higher from 3.75 1/2-3.77 1/2 per bushel.  Minneapolis US No 2 Yellow corn rail
was not quoted.
   OATS AND BARLEY:  US 2 or Better oats, rail bid to arrive at Minneapolis 20
day was 2 3/4 cents lower at 2.51 1/4 per bushel.  US No 3 or better rail
malting Barley, 70 percent or better plump out of Minneapolis was not available
per bushel.  Portland US 2 Barley, unit trains and Barges-export was not
available.
   SORGHUM:  US No 2 yellow truck, Kansas City was 5 cents higher at 6.40 per
cwt.  Texas High Plains US No 2 yellow sorghum (prices paid or bid to the
farmer, fob elevator) was 5 cents higher from 5.60-5.86 per cwt.
   OILSEEDS:  Minneapolis Yellow truck soybeans were not quoted.  Illinois
Processors US No 1 Yellow truck soybeans were 6 3/4-8 3/4 cents higher from 8.81
1/2-8.89 1/2 per bushel.  Kansas City US No 2 Yellow truck soybeans were 6 3/4
cents higher from 8.74 1/2-8.79 1/2 per bushel.  Illinois 48 percent Soybean
meal, processor rail bid was .70 cents higher from 275.60-277.60 per ton.
Central Illinois Crude Soybean oil processor bid was 30-55 points higher from
29.24-30.74 cents per pound.
