U.S. National Weekly Rice Summary

LITTLE ROCK - Feb 1/16 - SNS -- The latest weekly rice market summary for the United States was released by the USDA today.

                             Domestic Trend
   In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices mostly steady.
Parboiled, Second heads and Brewers prices mostly steady.  Rice by-products:
Rice Bran prices steady to firm; Millfeed and ground hull prices not well tested
due to limited quotes.  Louisiana port continues to move rough rice south at
softer prices.  Water allocation in Texas continues to be a hot topic.  Rough
rice and milled long grain rice continues to be shipped south.
   In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to weak.  Second
heads and Brewers prices steady.  Rice by-products:  Rice Bran prices mostly
steady.  Rice hulls spot trade not well tested.  Market prices continues to
soften.
   CME Rough Rice settlements for Friday 29nd, Mar 16 closed .04 higher at 11.35;
May 16 closed .035 higher at 11.63; Jul 16 closed .04 higher at 11.905.  US
dollar index on Friday settled at 99.57.
