Global Lentils Remain Firm
PANAMA - Jan 29/16 - SNS -- Global lentil markets maintained their firm tone through the past week as available supplies from growers remain just behind the short term needs of processors and exporters.
Bids to farmers remain at record levels in Canada and the United States. By contrast, prices paid to farmers in Australia have fallen off their mid-December record high.
This is helping keep international trading levels strong, despite weakness in the Canadian and Australian dollars.
