Movement Supports Yellow Peas
PANAMA - Jan 22/16 - SNS -- Field pea markets finished the week on a firmer note, helped by strong export movement.
This is most obvious in Canada, where the Canadian Grain Commission reports bulk export clearances between August 1 and January 17 are up 9% over last year at 1.493 million metric tons (MT).
Movement slowed considerably in December, partly reflecting the Christmas holiday period. But, the pace of vessel loading picked up the first half of January.
