France Field Pea Sales Soar in November
PARIS - Jan 11/16 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France soared in November, according to data compiled by Terres Univia.
Export shipments during the month totalled 37,285 metric tons (MT), almost five times the 6,490 MT shipped the previous month, and almost four times the 7,815 MT shipped the same month last year.
As a result, season to date shipments leapt from 45,520 to 153,400 MT for the five months spanning July through November.
The jump in year over year shipments reflects strong movement to India so far during the 2015-16 marketing campaign. India has taken 104,244 MT of peas so far during France's 2015-16 export campaign.
