Quiet Start For Beans

PANAMA - Jan 10/15 - SNS -- International dry edible bean markets started the new year on a relatively quiet note, with product available from growers and processors aligned with the short term needs of the market.

This was reflected in the spot market index for U.S. beans, which finished the week unchanged at 124.73 points.

By contrast, the world export pulse index jumped 7.3 points on the week to 211.8, reflecting strength other pulses. Canada's pulse price index was also firmer, advancing 6.5 points to 216.
