National Weekly Rice Summary (Arkansas-Louisiana-Texas-California) Domestic Trend In the south, long and medium grain milled rice prices steady. Parboiled, Second heads and Brewers prices steady. Rice by-products: Rice Bran, Millfeed and ground hull prices steady. In California, medium grain milled rice prices steady to weak. Second heads and Brewers prices steady. Rice by-products: Rice Bran prices mostly steady. Ground rice hulls spot trade lightly tested, mostly all hulls already sold. CME Rough Rice settlements for Thursday Dec 31th, Jan 16 closed .025 higher at 11.565; Mar 16 closed .02 higher at 11.835; May 16 closed .015 higher at 12.12. US dollar index on Thursday settled at 98.69. Rice market continues to be very quiet on both sides.
