Beans See Relatively Quiet Week

PANAMA - Dec 12/15 - SNS -- The world's dry edible bean markets finished the week's trading on a relatively quiet note, with product available from exporters running just ahead of the short term needs of buyers.

Market interest is not helped by the proximity of the Christmas and New Year's holiday season.

This was reflected in a modest decline in the spot market index for U.S. beans to 124.73 points, By contrast, the world export pulse index jumped 4.5 points to 203.6 on the week, reflecting strength other pulses.
