Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 26/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high southwest of Perth extends a ridge of high pressure over the Bight. The high will move eastwards to be located south of the Bight by Friday night, and then over Victoria by Sunday night. A trough is expected to move across South Australia early next week.
Forecast for the rest of ThursdayA slight chance of showers about the Lower South East, mainly about the coast. A slight chance of thundery showers in the far northwest until late evening. Generally cool to mild with mainly moderate southwest to southeasterly winds easing this evening.Friday 27 NovemberThe slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast and a chance of thundery showers in the far northwest in the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 28 NovemberThe slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast and a chance of thundery showers across the far north in the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly in the west. Afternoon coastal sea breezes.Sunday 29 NovemberThe chance of morning showers about the Lower South East coast and the chance of showers and thunderstorms over the far northwest. Mild to warm about the coast, hot to very hot inland. Generally moderate southeasterly winds and afternoon coastal sea breezes.Monday 30 November
Showers and thunderstorms developing over the North West Pastoral district, possibly extending over the southeastern corner of the State in the evening. Hot with moderate to fresh northerly winds shifting milder, fresh to strong southwest to southerly in the west during the day.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm with thundery showers.
Tuesday until ThursdayWarm to hot northerly winds with thundery showers moving across Pastoral districts, all moving eastwards early in the period. Becoming cooler mid-week with a southerly wind change extending throughout, bringing a chance of showers to southern coasts.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CDT Friday.Product IDS10033
