Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Nov 24/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A trough of low pressure near Fowlers Bay will move northeastwards to reach a line near Renmark to Coober Pedy late afternoon and Broken Hill to Oodnadatta late evening. A cold front will move across the south of the State in the evening. A ridge of high pressure will develop near Kangaroo Island later on Thursday and remain near stationary into early next week.
Forecast for the rest of WednesdayThe slight chance of showers developing over the agricultural area and West Coast district, more likely south of a line Port Lincoln to Port Wakefield to Bordertown. The chance of morning thunderstorms in the far west of the West Coast district and the chance of late thunderstorms over the South East districts. Possible late dry thunderstorms over the North West Pastoral district. Hot to very hot with north to northwesterly winds, becoming fresh to strong late morning ahead of a milder, fresh to strong southwesterly change reaching a line Broken Hill to Oodnadatta late evening. Areas of raised dust over the northern agricultural area and the Flinders and Pastoral districts.Thursday 26 NovemberThe slight chance of showers about the northern agricultural area and south of the North East Pastoral district during the morning. Slight chance of showers near southern and western coasts, more likely about the Lower South East Coast with some possible small hail. A slight chance of thundery showers in the far northwest during the afternoon and evening. Hot to very hot in the far northeast with northerly winds shifting fresh southwest to southerly during the day. Cool to mild over the remainder with moderate to fresh southwest to southerly winds, strong at first about central and southern coasts.Friday 27 NovemberThe slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast and a chance of thundery showers in the far northwest in the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to warm to hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.Saturday 28 November
The slight chance of showers about the Lower South East coast and a chance of thundery showers in the far northwest in the afternoon and evening. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot to very hot in the north. Moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, tending northeasterly in the west.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight on Saturday are expected to be less than 2 mm, with isolated falls of 2 to 5 mm near southern coasts and in the far west. Most of this rainfall is expected to occur on Wednesday and Thursday.
Sunday until TuesdayThe chance of showers about the Lower South East coast on Sunday then the chance of showers and thunderstorms developing over the Pastoral districts west of Woomera on Monday, with showers extending over most parts on Tuesday. Mild to warm about the coast, hot to very hot inland. Generally moderate southeast to northeasterly winds, fresh at times in the south and west.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Wednesday.Product IDS10033
