Smaller U.S. Chickpea Crop?

PANAMA - Oct 10/15 - SNS -- The USDA did not break out chickpea production estimates from those for all dry edible beans in its latest crop production forecasts.

However, dry edible bean seedings in Washington State were trimmed 10,000 acres to 110,000.

Given the distribution of classes grown in the state and their relative market performance, most of the decline likely happened in chickpeas.
