Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 5/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A strong, slow moving high over the western Tasman Sea continues to direct a hot northwesterly airstream over southeast Australia. A vigorous cold front will reach southern New South Wales late Tuesday bringing a milder southerly change. The front will continue to move north on Wednesday, reaching the far north coast late in the day, and bringing milder conditions to all areas apart from the northwest. Another strong high will move through Bass Strait to the Tasman Sea on Thursday in the wake of the front where it will remain through the weekend.
Forecast for the rest of MondayFine and mostly sunny. Hot evening for most of the state. West to northwesterly winds inland, fresh at times across the south, with northeasterly seabreezes along the coastal fringe.Tuesday 6 OctoberFine. Mostly sunny. Hot. Northwesterly winds inland, freshening in the southwest, with northeasterly seabreezes along the coast. Late, gusty, cooler southerly change in the far south.Fire Danger -  very high for much of the state apart from the northwest.Wednesday 7 OctoberSlight chance of showers on the north coast and adjacent ranges, and about the southern ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Hot in the northern inland. Cooler, gusty southerly change extending through remaining districts during the day.Thursday 8 OctoberChance of coastal showers, mostly in the north. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. East to northeasterly winds.Friday 9 OctoberIsolated showers about the north coast and ranges. Isolated afternoon showers and thunderstorms over southern and central districts.
