MELBOURNE - Oct 5/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A low pressure trough and associated cooler change over the far west of the State will move eastwards on Tuesday to be positioned over the North East Pastoral district late evening. A strong high will move to the south of the Bight mid week, to be centred over the Tasman sea later Thursday. Forecast for the rest of MondayDry and hot with fresh northerly winds, ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west.Tuesday 6 OctoberHot to very hot in the north and east with fresh northerly winds, strong at times about the ranges early morning, ahead of a milder, fresh to strong and gusty southwest to southerly change extending into the North East Pastoral district by the evening. A slight chance of a shower about the south coast of Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East coast.Wednesday 7 OctoberFine apart from the slight chance of a shower over the northern agricultural area and south of the North West Pastoral district, but with insignificant rainfall. Cool about southern and western coasts, grading to hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, tending light to moderate east to northeasterly in the far northeast.Thursday 8 OctoberFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.Friday 9 October Fine. Mild to warm about the coasts grading to warm to hot over the remainder. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds. Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Friday are expected to be negligible. Saturday until MondayFine.
