Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Oct 4/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high near the southeast coast of QLD will direct a hot to very hot northerly airstream across the State today. A low pressure trough and associated cooler change will move into the far west of the State later today and then move eastwards on Tuesday to be positioned over the North East Pastoral district late evening. A strong high will move to the south of the Bight mid week, to be centred over the Tasman sea later Thursday.
Forecast for the rest of MondayDry and hot to very hot. Freshening northerly winds, strong at times near southern coasts and in the west, ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west in the evening.Tuesday 6 OctoberHot to very hot in the north and east with fresh northerly winds ahead of a milder, fresh to strong and gusty southwest to southerly change extending into the North East Pastoral district by the evening. A slight chance of a shower about the south coasts of Kangaroo Island and Fleurieu Peninsula and about the coasts of the South East districts.Wednesday 7 OctoberFine. Cool about southern and western coasts, grading to hot in the far northeast. Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, tending light to moderate east to northeasterly in the far northeast.Thursday 8 October
Fine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north. Light to moderate southeast to northeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals through to midnight Thursday are expected to be negligible.
Friday until SundayFine. Temperatures rising to be warm to hot throughout on the weekend.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CDT Monday.Product IDS10033
