MELBOURNE - Oct 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high pressure ridge over New South Wales will weaken by Monday and a cold front will move through the west and southeast of the state during Tuesday before weakening into a trough over the northeast on Wednesday. The trough is expected to move west and weaken during Thursday as another high moves near Tasmania extending a ridge along the coast. Forecast for the rest of SundayFine and mostly sunny. Hot inland. Northwesterly winds, freshening across southern and central districts., and reaching gale force about the high peaks of the Snowy mountains during the morning. Local northeasterly seabreezes on the coast.Fire Danger - Very High: Greater Hunter, Greater Sydney, Illawarra Shoalhaven and Far South Coast.Monday 5 OctoberFine and mostly sunny, apart from some high cloud in the south. Hot inland. West to northwesterly winds inland, fresh at times across the south, with northeasterly seabreezes on the coast.Tuesday 6 OctoberFine and mostly sunny. Hot inland. Northwesterly winds inland, freshening in the far west, with northeasterly seabreezes on the coast. A late southerly change in the far southwest.Wednesday 7 OctoberSlight chance of showers on the south coast and ranges. Fine and partly cloudy elsewhere. Remaining hot in the northern inland.
