MELBOURNE - Oct 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.
Weather Situation A high over the east of the Australian continent will direct a hot to very hot northerly airstream across the State during the long weekend. A trough is expected to extend a milder south to southwesterly change across most of the State on Tuesday. Forecast for the rest of SaturdayDry. Light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting milder southerly about western coasts and the far west late afternoon and evening.Sunday 4 OctoberDry. Warm about southern coasts, hot to very hot elsewhere. Mainly moderate northerly winds tending milder southerly about western coasts.Monday 5 OctoberDry and hot to very hot. Freshening northerly winds ahead of a milder southerly change in the far west in the evening.Tuesday 6 OctoberHot to very hot inland with moderate to fresh northerly winds at first. A milder, fresh and gusty southwesterly change over western and southern parts extending into the North East Pastoral district by the evening. A slight chance of a shower about southern coasts and the Lower South East following following the change.Wednesday 7 October Fine apart from a slight chance of a shower in the Lower South East on Wednesday. Mild in the south grading to hot in the north with moderate to fresh southeast to easterly winds. Rainfall totals through to midnight Wednesday are expected to be negligible. Thursday until SaturdayFine. Mild to warm in the south grading to hot in the north.
