Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 4/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system near Kangaroo Island will move eastwards over the next few days to be over the Tasman Sea by Sunday morning. A front will move into the west of the State on Saturday and then over the remainder on Sunday. A new high will develop over the Bight later Monday and on Tuesday.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA slight chance of brief showers south of about Coober Pedy, clearing this evening. Cool with mainly light winds.Saturday 5 SeptemberEarly morning frost patches over and to the east of the Mount Lofty and Flinders ranges. A slight chance of a shower about the Lower South East coast during the morning. A slight chance of a shower developing in the far west of the West Coast district in the evening. Cool to mild grading to warm in the west with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds, freshening in the west ahead of a southerly change in the far west late afternoon or evening.Sunday 6 SeptemberShowers extending from the west during the morning associated with the cold front, with the slight chance of showers in the south of the Pastoral districts, grading to a high to very high chance near southern coasts and ranges and in the South East districts. The slight chance of a thunderstorm and possible small hail over southern Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East district from late morning. Mild grading to warm in the north with moderate to fresh northeast to northwesterly winds, shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwest to southerly following the front.Monday 7 SeptemberThe slight chance of a showers south of about Lameroo to Port Lincoln, more likely in the South East district. Possible early morning small hail in the Lower South East. Cool grading to mild in the far north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near southern coasts and ranges.Tuesday 8 September
The slight chance of showers over the agricultural area, contracting to coasts and ranges in the evening. Light winds tending northerly in the west on Wednesday and throughout on Thursday. Cool grading to mild in the far north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Tuesday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area, with less than 2 mm over the remainder of the agricultural area, West Coast district and the south of the pastorals. Falls of 10 to 15 mm are possible over the Lower South East and southern Mount Lofty Ranges.
Wednesday until FridayThe slight chance of showers near southern coasts and ranges on Wednesday, then fine on Thursday and Friday apart from the slight chance of showers near the Lower South East Coast. Temperatures gradually rising to be warm throughout on Friday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 5:30 am CST Saturday.Product IDS10033
