Australia -- South Australia Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Sep 3/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of South Australia was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A high pressure system south of the Bight will move eastwards over the next few days to be over the Tasman Sea by Sunday morning. A front will move into the west of the State on Saturday and then over the remainder on Sunday. A second high is expected to move over South Australia early next week.
Forecast for the rest of FridayA slight chance of brief showers south of about Coober Pedy, clearing in the evening. Cool grading to mild in the far north, with mainly light winds.Saturday 5 SeptemberEarly morning frost patches over and to the east of the Mount Lofty and Flinders ranges. A slight chance of a shower developing in the far west of the West Coast district in the evening. Cool to mild grading to warm in the west with light to moderate north to northeasterly winds, freshening in the west ahead of a southerly change in the far west late afternoon or evening.Sunday 6 SeptemberShowers extending from the west during the morning associated with a cold front, with the slight chance of showers in the south of the Pastoral districts, grading to a high chance near southern coasts and ranges. The slight chance of a thunderstorm over southern Kangaroo Island and the Lower South East Coast. Mild grading to warm in the north with light to moderate northeast to northwesterly winds, fresh in the south, shifting cooler, moderate to fresh southwest to southerly following the front.Monday 7 September
The slight chance of a showers over the agricultural area, more likely about southern coasts and ranges and in the Lower South East. Cool grading to mild in the far north with light to moderate southwest to southeasterly winds, fresh at times near southern coasts and ranges.
Cumulative rainfall totals until midnight Monday are expected to be 2 to 10 mm over the southern agricultural area and less than 2 mm over the remainder of the agricultural area, West Coast district and the south of the pastorals. Falls of 10 to 15 mm are possible over the Lower South East and southern Mount Lofty Ranges.
Tuesday until ThursdayThe slight chance of showers over the southern agricultural area, contracting southwards to clear the Lower South East during Thursday morning. Light winds tending northerly in the west on Wednesday and throughout on Thursday. Cool to mild, but becoming warmer in the west on Wednesday and Thursday.The next routine forecast will be issued at 4:30 pm CST Friday.Product IDS10033
