Australia -- New South Wales Weather Update

MELBOURNE - Aug 29/15 - SNS -- The current forecast for the state of New South Wales was released by Australia's Bureau of Meteorology.

Weather Situation
A complex slow-moving low pressure system lies over the southern Tasman Sea while a high pressure system south of Tasmania extends a ridge across New South Wales. During Wednesday another low and an associated trough will cross the state with another high moving south of the Bight and extending a ridge behind it.
Forecast for the rest of SaturdaySlight chance of showers on the far north coast. Partly cloudy elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds, turning northeasterly along the northern coast in the afternoon.Sunday 30 AugustSlight chance of showers on the south coast and ranges and a slight chance of showers near the central coastal fringe. Snow showers on the Alps above 1300 metres. Early frost on the slopes and ranges and fog patches in the south.. Mostly sunny elsewhere. Southeast to southwesterly winds, fresh and gusty along much of the coast.Monday 31 AugustFine apart from the chance of a late shower in the southwest. Partly cloudy. Early frost on the slopes and ranges. Southeast to southwesterly winds in the east, tending light and variable in the west.Tuesday 1 SeptemberPartly cloudy with a slight chance of showers on the western slopes of the central ranges. Early frost on the slopes and ranges. Mostly light and variable winds.Wednesday 2 SeptemberModerate chance of showers increasing to high chance in the southern and central inland.
